Current Personnel

Gabriel Bowen (PI)

Gabe is assistant professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, member of the Purdue Climate Change Research Center, and co-director of the Purdue Stable Isotope facility at Purdue University. His research focuses on the application of light stable isotope ratio data to large-scale climatological and ecological problems.

Zhongfang Liu

Zhongfang is a postdoctoral associate working with Gabe Bowen in stable isotope hydrology in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Purdue University. His research interest is in stable isotope variations in the hydrological cycle. His current research focuses on developing and applying models for the spatial analysis of water isotope data.

Christopher Miller

Chris Miller is an assistant professor of library science, Geographic Information Systems specialist, at Purdue University Libraries. His interests include burgeoning interdisciplinary geoinformatics efforts, data libraries and preservation, data literacy, and open data policies and protocols. He collaborates with faculty to integrate geospatial data and infrastructure into research and projects regardless of discipline or department on campus.

Jason West

Jason is assistant professor at the Texas AgriLife Research and Department of Ecosystem Ecology & Management, Texas A&M University. His interests in ecological research include the roles of vegetation in such ecosystem functions as water, carbon, and nitrogen cycling, with a particular interest in the characteristics of tissues found below ground. Understanding the consequences of global change for ecological systems is also an important focus, including the effects of changing atmospheric compositions, human activities that affect available nitrogen, biodiversity, climate change, and land use.

Tonglin Zhang

Tonglin is assistant professor of Statistics at Purdue University. Tonglin came to Purdue in 2002 following completion of his PhD from the University of Michigan. He has been developing statistical models in a variety of contexts, including human disease studies and environmental and atmospheric science.

Lan Zhao

Zhao is a research scientist in the scientific solutions group at Rosen Center for Advanced Computing. Her current research is on scientific data, computation, and workflow management in Grid computing systems. She has been investigating models, algorithms, and architectures for efficient, scalable scientific data storage, retrieval, provenance, and processing. Furthermore, she has been developing next generation middleware platform that supports the integration and sharing of heterogeneous data sets, as well as the composition of data-driven scientific workflows using service-oriented technologies. She is currently involved in several NSF funded projects including TeraGrid, C4E4, ISOMAP, and DRInet.

George Takashaki

George Takashaki is a research programmer in Academic Technologies.

Shivani Mittal

Shivani Mittal is a Graduate Student in the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University, pursuing a Masters of Science in Computer Engineering
